New FREE Webinar - 2/10/2019 1pm GMT: Understanding Contract Documents and how they Work Together

On Wednesday 2 October part 3 of our 22-part webinar series of the JCT Design & Build continues.

The previous webinar provided an overview of the key documents used to create a JCT Design and Build Contract. The aim of this webinar is to understand the documents included within the JCT Design and Build Contract, and how each document interacts and works alongside others to form a robust contract plan.

What are 'Contract Documents' in D&B16?

JCT D&B16 defines the 'Contract Documents' as being the agreement and conditions (i.e. the printed form), the employer's requirements, the contractor's proposals, the contract sum analysis and '(where applicable) the BIM Protocol': these documents comprise the contract to which the parties are bound.

What Will I Learn After this Webinar?

After attending this webinar, you should be able to:

  1. Understand in brief the various definitions, interpretations, and uses of documents included within DB16

  2. Identify the correct priority of the documentation

  3. Identify the purpose of each document, and the procedure to follow for errors or discrepancies.

Who is it recommended for?

This webinar is recommended for everyone currently or about to be working across projects including employers, contractors and sub-contractors and are suitable for all those who may need support as they may have experience of delays, damage and compensation events.
