Tell us a little bit about yourself and your work background?
After earning a degree in Civil Engineering, I transitioned to sales due to limited career growth opportunities. I worked at an IT company for a couple years before joining the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and working within their commercial arm TTL as a Lead Account Manager and this brought me back into the field I graduated in, I was promoted to Sales Team Leader after a very successful couple years and continued that success throughout the 6 and half years I was there leading the team. I then transitioned to Built Intelligence as I was really impressed with the products and services and the progress the organisation has been making and haven’t looked back since!

How long have you been with Built Intelligence?
Just over a year and a half, wow where has the time gone!

So, can you tell us what your role entails at BI and what a ‘day in the life of’ looks like!
While the specifics can vary daily, my role typically involves lead generation / pipeline building using several sources, doing demonstrations and discovery meetings with potential clients, booking follow up meetings and having discussions with my clients. Implementing my sales plan and strategies and speaking to clients about the BI products and services and sending out proposals, updating pipeline and keeping on top of tasks and making sure the CRM is up to date. I am also involved in building partnerships with contributors and working with the management team to discuss new developments.

What’s the best thing about your role?
The fantastic team we have who are all supportive. And seeing the product progress to what I am sure will be the market leading solution.

What has been your finest moment at BI – what achievement have you been most proud of?
One of my proudest achievements has been successfully closing significant deals and contributing to the team's target achievements.

Tell us a little something about the person behind the role?!
Outside of work, my sporty and competitive nature shines, as demonstrated in recent BI Team Days & social events! Additionally, I hold a deep passion for technology and learning about new and upcoming solutions that are likely to influence the world and in particular the construction industry. I enjoy video games when I have some free time and binge watching the latest TV shows.
