Overview of the key differences between CDM 2007/2015

This course aims to explain the key differences between the CDM 2007 and CDM 2015 regulations and the transitional rules.

Virtually everyone involved in a construction project has legal duties under CDM 2015. Whatever your role in construction, CDM aims to improve health and safety in the industry by helping you to sensibly plan the work so the risks involved are managed from start to finish, have the right people for the right job at the right time, cooperate and coordinate your work with others, have the right information about the risks and how they are being manage, communicate this information effectively to those who need to know and consult and engage with workers about the risks and how they are being managed.

After studying this course, you should be able to: describe the main differences between CDM 2007 and CDM 2015 and what actions the duty holders must take to comply, and detail the transitional rules for the contracts that were placed prior to CDM 2015 being enforced
