This month our interview is with Lisa Holmyard our new Head of Key Accounts
1. Can you describe yourself in 10 words?
No but my clients have recommended me on LinkedIn using these words – tenacious; conscientious; indefatigable; dedicated; approachable; dependable; committed; diligent, energetic and a great sense of humour.
2. Tell us a little bit about yourself and your work background?
I’ve worked across the leisure, security, mobile/IT, logistics (travelling the globe for a business in New York, USA) and construction sectors over the last 35 years with the last six years in construction and contract management solutions serving UK, Europe, Africa and Australia.
3. How long have you been with Built Intelligence?
I joined Built Intelligence, a global leading contract management and e-learning platform solution company just 4 months ago and I am loving the modern stack and tech; expert colleagues knowledge and the services we can offer our customers.
4. So, can you tell us what your role entails at BI and what a ‘day in the life of’ looks like!
I look after a selection of our key account customers helping with current and new projects as their trusted advisor – guiding and assisting on our contract management solution FastDraft and Academy e-learning platform. I also approach new prospective customers working on future projects requiring either our contract management solution and / or employees needing our e-learning training on NEC/JCT & FIDIC forms of contract alongside project management, BIM and commercial training from some 800 courses (and growing) that we offer! I am often reaching out to people through LinkedIn and following up by phone and email. Within a day I may also deliver demonstrations of our products and services alongside fun internal meetings to ensure we are all working together towards a common goal to drive consistency and growth through wants and needs of our product roadmap planning, from customer feedback working holistically across departments within our business, and attending conferences. I am really looking forward to our roadshow in March 2023.
5. What’s the best thing about your role?
Variety and the need to respond in a timely manner to help clients under great pressure, working with a great team - inspiring, creating and achieving together.
6. What has been your finest moment at BI – what achievement have you been most proud of?
Achieving my first sale in 3 months and being part of a great warm and friendly sales team true to our values.
7. Tell us a little something about the person behind the role?!
I’m one of life’s tryers! One of my remote feats of achievement came with a massive hug from the Zambia Women’s Rugby team Captain thanking me for persuading a Zambia rugby tournament to host a women’s match mid men’s tournament to raise the profile of women’s rugby. I ‘made a difference’ with the African spectator stands alive with song and cheer supporting us women (yes, I played against them!), it was a brilliant day and it was so lovely to see her so happy for the sport.
8. Final thoughts or tips?
Be kind and do something meaningful every day.
